You are the final group of God’s runners in the marathon race of human history before the Lord returns, who, along with many others throughout the centuries, have lived under intense persecution. You are my heroes!
Because of your convictions, many of you will become martyrs, not loving your life even to death. (Revelation 12:11) Why? Because you loved Someone more than life itself—the One who alone is of supreme worth and beauty, the One who alone is the true lover of your souls, the forgiver of your sins, the satisfier of your deepest longings, and the object of your “blessed hope”—the Lord Jesus Christ!
Though I haven’t met you, I have read about your perseverance (Revelation 3:10), how you kept the commandments of God, and held to the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17, 14:12).
I pray for you even now! And I pray for myself, that I would love the Lord Jesus Christ and live for Him now, as you will live (and many of you will die) for Him then.
Though I don’t want to be presumptuous thinking any of you would even read this dedication, the Lord knows my heart and how highly I think of you. And someday, if I’m not an actual runner with you in this last leg of this race, I will see you in glorified form at the “blessed hope” finish-line when the Rapture and resurrection occur—grateful to share eternity with a group of the Lord’s precious flock of whom this world was not worthy (Hebrews 11:38).
